Late-round heroics push FaZe over the line v. Sangal at Roman Imperium Cup IX

FaZe's first match at Roman Imperium Cup IX was in the upper bracket quarterfinals, as the top-seeded team. Their opponents, Sangal, came into the playoffs from a play-in match following the group stage. Both teams stole each other's map pick before FaZe narrowly avoided an upset loss, winning on Cache thanks to timely multi-kills from Russell "Twistzz" Van Dulken and Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski.

Jolts returns to Villainous

Connor "Jolts" Haines has confirmed to Dust2.us that he has returned to Villainous' starting lineup after previously stepping down from the team on September 21st. The return was confirmed after Jolts continued to play for the team despite stepping down, playing a total of eight maps for Villainous across ESL Challenger League Season 52 and CROSSFIRE Season 6.

M80 withdraw from DraculaN Season 7

Per the DrauclaN website it has been confirmed that M80 have withdrawn from the Romanian LAN, giving up the chance to defend their title after previously winning Season 6. M80 were one of the first teams to sign up for the $35,000 event, having joined the fray amidst the initial wave of teams to claim a spot in DraculaN's largest event to date.

Earlier today BC.Game found themselves barred from qualifying to the PGL Singapore Major after Valve disqualified the team amidst their crackdown on teams switching region to try and claim an easier route to the Major. This represents a huge setback for BC.Game as the team had effectively already locked in their spot in Singapore following their debut with Tyson "asap" Paterson at ROG JOURNEY Autumn 2026.

LAG is puts the North American veterans into the consolidation final of CROSSFIRE S6 and just one win away away from a spot in the grand finals. Should Without a Roof defeat Overtake Sector tonight, WaR would qualify for its third grand final in a row after NSTLGA Season 2 and ESEA S58 NA Finals.

FalleN on postponing retirement: "You can bet I won't"

NorthForge complete roster for Season 59 with KmZ, Redman additions

NorthForge have finalized their roster for ESEA Advanced Season 59 with the additions of Ezekiel "KmZ" Hughes and Dakota "Redman" Brower, bringing the squad back up to full strength following the departures of Joshua "LittleBEER" Stuckley and Nicholas "Kranoli" Adkins last week. KmZ joins NorthForge from FarmVille after falling to make an appearance with the latter team during the second ESL Challenger League Season 52 Cup.

CS2 player count declines for a record seven months in a row; lowest average player count in 20 months

As first spotted by a number of content creators and pundits including Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg, Counter-Strike 2 's active player count has continued a multi-month rout, with the game losing players consecutively over the past seven months in a row, a first in CS:GO / CS2 's history. By the end of September 2026, CS2 's player counter has declined to ~805,000 average players, the lowest number of average players since February 2024.
