After suffering a reverse sweep at the hands of #3-ranked FURIA, FaZe found themselves facing Cologne Major champions Falcons, as well as the simultaneous prospect of elimination from IEM Beijing. Unfortunately for FaZe, they could not pull off their own reverse sweep in order to stay alive in the tournament. FaZe's map pick of Ancient backfired as Falcons condemned them to a 2-10 opening half, which turned into a 3-13 loss.
